Automated tuna peeling system combining computer vision and precision robotics. Generates a complete 3D surface map of each fish to minimise waste at full production speed.

Industrial system for the automated peeling of frozen sharks, designed to optimise processing with a focus on efficiency, sustainability and regulatory compliance.

Automatic on-board inspection system for tuna caught at sea. Uses advanced computer vision and a nestable neural network to detect and classify different tuna species directly on the vessel's fish deck.
Acoustic invisibility system to hide an underwater object from detection by sonar devices or by echolocating marine animals.
Portable electrochemical sensing for marine toxins and contaminants — point-of-catch, no lab required.
Autonomous system to reduce accidental shark capture in industrial tuna fisheries. Targeted deterrence without affecting the catch or vessel operations.
Generation, propagation, control and reception of underwater sound waves. Effective for long-range communication, fish guidance and deterrence.
Light-based detection and processing systems for underwater and industrial applications. From inspection cameras to AI-powered in-line scanners.
Solid State Microwave generation (0.9 to 3.0 GHz) used in our developments to produce heat energy by the rapid movement and rotation of polar molecules by rubbing against each other.
Deliver value through technological development and innovation projects for fishing, aquaculture and the environment.
Marexi was founded in Vigo by technologist Joaquín Gracia Salvador and scientist Iñaki Miniño. Today the team spans engineers, physicists, mathematicians and biologists.
The company operates from technical offices and R&D laboratories in Vigo and Palma de Mallorca, designing, manufacturing and commercialising its own products, with over 20 years of experience in the fishing, aquaculture and food processing industries.
